Subject: Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas everyone!!!
Hope all is going well.  We had our office party last Friday.  Hopefully you can see the attached picture.  Left to right = Sandy (my mom), Brian, Nicki, AnMarie, Shaun and Kim.

Brian is still active duty (he was activated Sept 30, 2001 due to 9/11).  We are hoping he will be released in January, but we are not holding our breath. His current schedule allows him to come into the office in the morning until noon then work on base until about 10pm.  He works 6 days and then has 3 days off.  He volunteered to work Christmas so the members that will be going overseas for duty in January can spend time with their family.  We are so proud of him.

Shaun will be starting school again soon.  He is going for his Associates degree in Fire Sciences. He wants to be a fireman.  Currently he's helping us at the office while his Dad is active duty.  Passed his insurance agents license the first time!!  Got his first REAL girlfriend last June.  We can't separate the two for more than 10 hours at a time.  Nice girl.  He met her in one of his EMT classes.  She's studying to be a paramedic.  Currently she works on the same military base that Brian does training guard dogs.
Nicki is getting so old (13).  She will be in high school next year !!  Scary.  Her science fair project made it to the finals.  She wants to be a genetic scientist.  She started basketball this week.  Her grades have been excellent and she's very active in church.  I know I can't ask for much more than that (even though I would like to see her pick up after herself and stop with the "I am the all knowing teenager.")
My mom is doing great.  One of her old-time buddies is coming down to visit soon.  We'll keep a close eye on them and make sure they aren't out partying too late (haha!!!).

All is the same with me.  No news is good news as far as I'm concerned.  Business is doing fine and I'm happy to have my husband back in the states.

We all wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas.
